This was great for a relatively short, quirky read. But is it worth the hype? I was a little let down. There was something about this that was very different to most other books in the genre, but I still felt like it needed something more.

An unwanted move, a new school, and a mother whose love for drink is greater than that for her daughter, Jane’s life is spiralling out of control until she meets Billy and perfection begins. Summer days drift by, warm and carefree, but Billy’s tragic past and abusive father are never far away and return to haunt him. In a world that no longer makes sense, through it all Jane believes love will prevail, but some secrets test even the greatest friendships and deepest devotion.
